Ligia Romano is a Portuguese artist and an environmental engineer. She is currently focused in painting and sculpturing in stone and wood. She has been part of numerous solo and group exhibitions in Portugal and Europe. She’s the original creator of the 2012 series Horses and the 2018 series Liquid horses. Her work has been sold all over Europe, China and Japan by various collectors and art lovers.

Ligia Romano explains, "My painting reflects my creative emotions, influenced by nature. A unique and natural figurative style. One of the themes of the Horses Series, is the horse with geometric and sometimes realistic painting, mixed with various natural or human elements, but following a very personal style line.
"
AMA - Mafalda e Amigos Association is a non-profit organization that brings together a group of experienced professionals in the social sector to support families with children (0-3 years). They have created a Grandparent Nursery in a Pedagogical Farm where grandparents will be able to grow fruits, vegetables and take care of some small animals, promoting contact with nature and healthy eating, family values and sharing experiences, among many other benefits.

The amount raised will help the association support the works of the new AMA nursery in Porto.
