You are bidding on two enormous golden palm tree lights. The trees were part of a set design used on Paloma's Fall To Grace tour and on a performance on the first series of The Voice, as well as a T4 Paloma Faith special and some other smaller performances. They also formed a major part of the set that featured in the O2 show where Paloma started on an empty stage and the set grew as each song was played. The trees come in sections and bolt together.
Paloma says: “I’m so happy to auction off these amazing gold palm trees in order to help raise money for gender equality in Myanmar… supporting women around the globe is a cause close to my heart. The palm trees were a key part of my set for the Fall To Grace tour and I hope they go to a fabulous new home”.
The trees are made of a box section steel substructure with gold fabric ruffle bark. Each leaf was moulded from a clay sculpture and then vac-formed in plastic sheeting and sprayed gold. There are a number of light fittings nestled in amongst the leaves that take standard light bulbs and have reflectors - 16 amp plug (c-form) and connectors (requires an electrician). Please note, for health and safety reasons they do not have plugs and do not come as working – if you want to use the lights they will require an electrician to pat test before using. They require safety lines to make them stand up safely.

These are being auctioned by The Music Circle, a subsidiary of Annie Lennox’s The Circle, to raise money for gender equality around the globe. Specifically, the money will go towards Oxfam’s efforts to establish greater gender equality in Myanmar. Oxfam’s projects aim to increase women’s political representation and bring about sustainable societal change through raising awareness and advising on policies to improve the standing of women so they can be accepted into positions of authority and respected in decision-making roles.
