Charity auction of the ball used in the 2019 Carioca Championship final played by the Clube de Regatas Flamengo and the Clube de Regatas Vasco da Gama to support Casa Ronald McDonald Brazil.
The item was donated by the Rio de Janeiro Football Federation and the money raised will help Casa Ronald McDonald to carry out its mission – "To give full attention to children and adolescents with cancer and their families."
Casa Ronald MacDonald is a non-profit institution, that in October 2019 completes 25 years of history, has housed more than 3,000 children and today has 57 guests who are undergoing their treatments in the city’s main public hospitals with their guardians. They receive daily support for food, lodging, transportation, education, entertainment, vocational courses, complementary comprehensive care programs for their families and social and psychosocial support.
A pioneer in Latin America and Brazil, Casa ensures the international standards for installation and operation, and excellent social care for the fight against children’s cancer. Most of the activities are done by volunteers, people who donate their time and affection so that everyone is cared for in their most priceless possession - life!
The amount raised will help fund the housing project.
