Description

Charity auction of a matchbox from the ANP|WWF’s Fósforos para a Floresta exclusive edition.

The ANP|WWF has just launched the Fósforos para a Floresta, the first matches that don’t burn but brighten ideals. This is the first box of a handmade edition of 10 matchboxes, created from a pine trunk from the Leiria Pine Forest, a historic forest area that burned almost entirely in October 2017.

The phosphorus sticks don’t have ignition and were subjected to a treatment that prevents them from burning.

Trying to draw attention to the data from the O Mediterrâneo Arde report, these matches will help the ANP|WWF to continue their work in post-fire forest restoration and the prevention of new fires through good practices in forest management, namely through the Green Heart of Cork project.
